Monkey Mural

I've been working on this mural in my dining room for quite some time.  Like most things, I don't have a lot of time to devote to it.  It's based on a painting called The Drunken Cleric by an artist known as Shag (Josh Agle).  I stumbled upon one of his art books at Half Price Books and really enjoyed his retro-50s-jazz album cover style.  When I moved into my house, there was a carved wooden sign hanging over my sink, featuring two tiki heads and the word "CERVEZA'S."  So I thought:  why not continue the theme in the dining room.  Seemed like fun at the time.  The pictures show the mural at near completion.  I just have to touch up the blue-green background.  You might notice some yellow around a few of the figures. That, unfortunately, was the original color of the wall.  Drunken monkeys and tikis are a grand improvement, I think.

Here's an image of the original painting.
